At the resort

Our friendly guide helps us on the connecting journey from Johannesburg to Livingstone, where we are taken to the exotic Falls Resort, situated 10 minutes away from the Victoria Falls. The room is designed in a Victorian flavour, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the Zambezi River. In the afternoon, we board a day cruise to the warm welcome of a Marimba Band, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, and set out to explore the winding river.

Soak in the nature

Come next day, we embark on a private walking tour filled with narratives of local stories and customs. A chopper ride then gives us a closer look at the falls and the hippos and crocodiles that lounge on the riverbanks. We take a dip in Devil’s Pool, a small fresh water lagoon enclosed by rocks, atop the falls, we bask in the surrealistic infinity pool.

Cruise in style

After a transfer to Botswana the next morning, we board the splendid 45-foot cruise liner, Zambezi Queen, to begin our exploration of the Chobe river. We peer out at the crocodiles, hippos, elephants, roans, elands, sables, giraffe and extremely rare pukku, sheltered by the renowned Chobe National Park. The cruise gives us the chance to partake in leisurely fishing and other energetic water sports. Our day comes to an end with a traditional African dinner followed by the glorious energy of the local singing and dancing.

Lost in tranquility

After disembarking the opulent vessel, we are transferred to ChobeChilwero in Kasane, where we’re delighted by the views of the magnificent islands and floodplains.
